The Airport is going to have to chip in to help deal with the massive traffic problems this is going to cause.

Abso-fartin'-lutely. It's already bad enough with all the rig pigs clogging both Nisku exits, driving like stunned assholes year-round, with the traffic this addition could create, ouch!

They need to build a better interchange at the airport exit....Otherwise, this is going to be a huge mess

Nope not one of those guys. Just a guy stuck in the wings out in Nisku. Traffic out here is horrible. Hope we have a fix soon.

Points at the CrossIron Mills' interchange that now has cars backing out onto the highway on a regular basis.

Wow, is YEG ever clutching at straws. And IC's pretty high up the risk curve with its developments lately. Metrotower 3's shaping up to be quite a bomb.

This is one development that Edmonton JUST DOESN'T NEED. You're already the most over-retailed city in Canada.

Like it or not, growth south of the city is going to occur.

Option 1. Commercial development occurs in the City of Leduc, Beaumont, or Leduc County with no benefits to the CoE.

Option 2. Commercial development occurs at YEG and (as the article mentions) revenue is pumped into the airport.

Does Edmonton have a true "outlet" mall? I hardly consider South Common a "outlet" facility unless things have changed since I have left...

^ not like the outlet malls they have in places like Bellingham. This development looks like it's better set up than SEC and the like anyways.

For those who don't like it.. don't shop there. Easy solution.

Hahaha. Can always count s211 to rain on the parade.

This is a development that is needed out there. Every major airport I've been to has some kind of development like this around it. Edmonton should be no different. I welcome this!
