They used to be quite loud, I lived near by and it was quite noisy in the mornings.

I am down at Jasper and 112th and just heard it power up.

Wow, I'm 100 Ave and 108 St and it shook my windows a little there. I'm glad that I was able to watch the whole thing from here. Truly marks the end of an era.

Yup, that was loud. For a one-off thing it's sort of neat, but to have that happening all the time is just stupid.

I can't believe Edmontonians put up with it for so long, convenient or not.

Flying that thing to Villeneuve is ridiculous, the city couldn't accommodate 100x100 foot box out of how many acres?

The 732's aren't that bad when you consider even louder Fokker-28's and back in the day Lear 24/25's were regular aircraft at the airport and packed a lot more noise...

I lived in Dovercourt for my early life and you got used to it. In St Albert it was always louder as they flew over. Now I get the flights to YK flying over . Still noisey but they are much higher.

I bet it was fun for the pilot though

Kind-of like the time I bought a rusty old Volvo with no brakes and drove it 60k's home.

Not just ridiculous... stupid. And fun.

I think the word I'm looking for is vindictive. There is no reason this plane couldn't have remained where it was over than some particularly harsh victor's justice.

Time Air used F28s for a time I believe. Truthfully though I do not miss the landings at CCA. the take offs were fun. My first flight into the arctic was from CCA. and Old NWT Electra.

Wow.. look how fast it took to get from Blatchford to Villeneuve!

We should keep Blatchford open and use it to shuttle people to Villeneuve

Looks like it had one failed landing attempt so had to do it again.

So now that YXD is in mothballs, I look forward to taller buildings kissing the sky. Now let's get that neighborhood redeveloped.

Whatever happened to that Allard fellow? He's been lying low for the past couple of years since Envision Edmonton's failure.
