I just wish they'd build another tall, slim tower beside it instead of wasting the space with that stupid little podium which is rather underwhelming in terms of the street wall. If the office building had a heftier, say 10 story base filling the space, that would cool too.

There's a new wing for the AGH along Hamilton Place.

AGH got renovated in 2005. This new renovation will work on Commonwealth Square and expand AGH with a new wing and do some minor changes to AGH inside.

Pretty amazing this whole section of Main St is really getting a major makeover, Bella Tower, Hilton Hotel, new McMaster Campus, City Hall renovation, now AGH renovation, Hamilton Place renovation, Convention Centre renovation, a new and expanded downtown bus terminal and finally renovated Family Courthouse.

What a tease! Err. You know every 12 months, they seem to put out a new rendering out.

Also, it should be taller - exactly 50% taller!

If you don't want it you can always give it to someone else. I think it's nice and sleek myself.

We are abusive and possessive. Now leave us alone.

Unfortunately, I have to disagree. 50% taller means that it would block the view of the Sun Life building from the Mount-Royal outlook, and we don't want that.

Exactly. Montreal deserves the Manulife tower that they want to build in Calgary. Also the Telus Sky tower would be nice. At least we have KPF's Deloitte tower to compensate.

By the way, this tower would rise very quickly, if build, since the parking are above grade, the subway being just right underneath. So it really is just a 20 storeys tower above 8 storeys of parking.

. . . or 50.

I don't mind that Montreal box, although it could be taller as well. Just exciting to see Montreal's skyline getting an overdue update with some very nice towers.
Great to see Canada's cities growing and the downtowns rising.

The Randall is actually very tasteful, its done properly in an architectural style and will have high quality materials. it will turn out just fine, there is already a very similar style development in downtown oakville that looks great.
