Don't know if anyone's posted this before, but this is a pretty amazingly well kept list of Philly projects. And by all means, if you have additions or amendments, let him know:

Center City, welcome to University City. University City, meet Center City.

This is a game-change in terms of our skyline.

I know beggars can't be choosers here but any plans to fill in that gap between the road and the building? Or does anyone know why they wouldn't?

Top of garage. Look at that green roof. I looks sloped and angular and off-base. Sharp! Is that the plan?

Can't fill it in. Those are train tracks. Might cover them one day.

I do not think Brandywine owns the air rights. There are train tracks that run through there. I would assume, as the area around 30th Street builds up more, that a developer will come in interested in building on that parcel.

You could cap over it and build on top of the cap. Similar to what their doing to the Hudson Yards in Manhattan and similar to what they plan to do with the Powelton Yards north of 30th Street Station/Cira Centre

It would be extremely difficult to cover the gap between the building and Schuylkill Ave, because that is where Amtrak exits 30th station.

With the announcement yesterday of the $50 million to the schools and the city advancing the district another $60 million, might we start to hear some new news regarding the proposed Comcast tower?

Looks like The Evo is officially 430 feet tall. FMC Tower at Cira Centre South is 656 feet tall.

Anyone post the new Drexel Tower at 34th and Lancaster. 24 Stories, $170million project, 560,000sf of space.
http://www.bizjournals.com/philadelphia/...0/drexel-to-start-170m-construction.html

Anyways, with all of this new construction immediately next to 30th Street Station, as well as the thousands of workers and students already in place, how can there not be a hotel under construction that directly serves this complex (and the railway)?

It's insane. In a few years we'll have millions of square feet of office and residential space, surrounding one of the busiest transit hubs in America--and not single hotel to serve it all.

Yes. We have a thread for it here:

Also, I am almost positive there are plans for a hotel right at 30th and Market, in between 30th Street station and Drexel's Bulletin Building.

We were just discussing that, actually. Drexel's moved its hotel proposal to 33rd and Chestnut, apparently.

I also want to throw out there that the POPE is coming to Philadelphia in September 2015 for the World Meeting of Families. They are expecting at LEAST tens of thousands of visitors. So.... build those hotels!!

Not to be outdone with the FMC Tower news, I wouldn't be surprised to hear some more news leaks about "Another Comcast Tower".

I wonder if Comcast will instead take some of FMC's old space in the BNY Mellon building?
