Re city center mall: I would give up all my Enron stock and possibly all Bre-x stock to see the yellow exterior gone.

Oxford is recomissioning the towers and I know the Food courts are getting substantial renos.

I love the Or Else mentality right now.

^busy does not equate to vibrant in my books... Walmart is busy.

Healthy, well, again, subjective I suppose, but inherently it is not a healthy design.

First the debacle with the Molson/Crosstown site, and now the flip-flopping with the Crazy Horse because of a lack of info from the first go-around? I think it's high time that the planning and development office is replaced by people who are more competent.

It's going to be very interesting to see the results of the ruling... I know that I will be reviewing them very carefully, as there are some factors in the decision that I'm hearing that have been applied in this case, but have failed to be applied in other cases, which once again highlights the lack of consistency with the DO office and the SDAB

Pile Drilling rig was unloaded from 112ave into the Parkinson's Centre site during rush hour this morning.
So either that project will be moving faster than I expected, or it could have pulled through to site across the alley.

^ They're staring almost immediately.. want ot get the F & F done before things freeze up. Fast track schedule to hopefully have the building operational in Q2 2014

My take is that the owner of the Permanent building doesn't seem too motivated to get an end-user either. He has had plenty of opportunities to apply to receive funding from both the City and Province and to use the excuse that the conditions are too onerous is simply BS. If he's as passionate as he says he is about the building then I would suspect he would be looking at every option to help improve it and get it leased up. To say that he'll let it sit is a cop out.
