I know they will get there eventually with improvements, I am just surprised it started with such obvious short-comings. I am sure in time it will smooth out. The actual route and ride is quite quick and direct, as well as the mapping around what stop to get off of if you are in a particular hotel. good things will come to those who wait I suppose, for the rest of the improvements.

Depends on your definition of "quick" and "direct".
I have taken the 300 a couple of times from downtown to YYC, once mid-morning and once just after lunch. Both times were before the new route via the new 96 Ave bridge - but both trips were
40-45 mins, from getting on the bus to getting out at YYC.
The route has stops on on Centre, but what this really ends up doing is picking people up in Chinatown that otherwise would have gotten on a 3 and giving them an alternative on their trip up Centre. If you really wanted to be "quick" and "direct" should just eliminate all the stops on Centre outside of DT. Maybe even cut down on the number of stops DT too.
Just my observation. I took this only for fun as a transit geek (although I really was catching a plane both times) - if I was in a hurry and/or could expense the ride for work, I would be taking a cab or driving my own car and parking.
