Interesting that when we were taxiing I did not see the panel, but only saw them when the angle changed. They look white when looking directly at them. The west side has started and the mounting brackets are starting to be installed on the east side.

I noticed last weekend that the south side were prepped for these panels... hard to say how they will turnout.... but a little colour should be a nice thing.

So are they colour on both sides? I wish they were silver to match the silver on the airport finish...or maybe colour is inviting?

I only got a quick glance at the other side but couldn't tell because of the sun rise. I only got these because my flight was aborted and I could get a quick spin by the terminal on my way back to the office.

The model I saw had colour on both sides.

Minor note, DL is operating A319 service twice weekly (weekend) currently on the MSP route to accommodate hunters from the U.S. This is a short term adjustment in place of one of the current daily flights.

In addition I will be attending the world routes conference in LAS coming up shortly and it'll be good to see and catch up with old friends from EIA! Should be a interesting show!

On a side note while looking up the icelandair flight schedules in the GDS I see the sole 753 will make a few visits during July and August.

First time in 7+ years had to connect in calgary today on the way to Regina (for business/timing reasons).... I feel so dirty! (and not cause I'm in Saskatchewan lol)

Anyways, has anyone connected in their HSBC concrete bunker walkway for west jet? Wow I hope we never build something like that.

On another note, first time in the new bombardier Q400 (I think that's it) and it was overall quite nice, only complaint was that the seat was a bit uncomfortable. On a short flight, not a huge deal I suppose.

Pretty sure that is temporary for Encore right now.

I think we'll have some opportunity to make room for the regional ops once the new transborder/international terminal opens rendering the current B/C pier redundant.

You should check out the concrete walkway for the AC regional ops, it's freaking a mile long due to the new terminal construction!

EIA has some momentum. I remember with the LHR flight was announce it was marketed a bit, but it took people a long time to realise that we had a flight to Europe. Fast forward to today, and people just assume we have flights to Europe and announcements like this are received well.

Should be a flight announcement coming up for YEG pretty shortly (I am sure it'll be announced days before for a media event at city hall in typical EIA fashion). Keep your eyes peeled for DFW (hopefully the times are decent). It'll be just a single daily rotation using a 738 to start.

Exciting to have another carrier flying into YEG.

Not too happy about having one single flight which will once again be an early AM departure from YEG and a late afternoon/early evening from DFW.

But let's not forget that this will complement US Airways (soon to be AA) existing schedule. So hopefully they will shuffle their rotations in and out of YEG.
