Really amazing. By 2020, Edmonton will be unrecognizable from today. Having just spent the weekend in Edmonton, I have realized that outside of the core, it actually feels like a larger city than Calgary... as if they planned for it to be as large as it has gotten, whereas Calgary seems to have only been planned to grow to 500 000. A gorgeous new proposal for Calgary's Marda Loop suburb. The neighbourhood is already historic, high density, and beautiful... this will be a great addition.

I don't know if I agree with that to be honest, both cities feel about the same size other than downtown, but Calgary has a much more 'big city' impact due to its freeways etc.

Uzi, don't loose sleep over Oxford Place, its a massive redevelopment of one of the largest indoor spaces and transportation gateways in Canada, coupled with two massive skyscrapers, and a brand new downtown mall. You might be a middle aged man before it is complete. To give you some perspective, the Eaton Centre was proposed in the early 1960's but wasn't fully opened until 1978.

You might very well be a middle-aged man before the project EVEN starts.

One could say the Eaton Centre plan wasn't completed until a few years ago when the Ryerson Business Building was built on the last plot of vacant land.

Looks like Fernbrook/Cityzen/Diamondcorp are rolling out phase one of their Garrison Point multi-tower condo project, starting with radio ads now...this is in the Liberty Village area of downtown T.O....

YUL (120m x2 + rowhouses on Overdale street)

13% sold already since sales offices opened 2-3 days ago.

Sales offices opened last week in Montreal, Singapore, Hong Kong and other locations across East Asia.

Realistically the Oxford Proposal could change again before it happens. It's not going to be built any time soon. I think the 2025 to 2030 time frame is the most realistic for these monster projects like Oxford, 1 Yonge, and Mirvish, if they happen at all. Holt Renfrew Tower might be sooner, like 2020. But it's hard to say, it's not exactly easy to successfully launch a monster 80+ storey condo project especially in this market.
