I'm pretty sure only the original U2's were built in Germany. The latest SD160NG (aka Series 8) LRVs definitely were at least assembled in Sacremento and I'm pretty sure all the previous SD160's were too.
Fleet numbers are 80 U2's (originally 83), 72 SD160 and 38 SD160NG, so 200 total before this order.
