NO, Shurfit, owned by Downey's, is actually going in there. They are moving from Rothesay Ave.

Are their any details on the proposed route for the east west pipeline yet? I hear they are surveying in Henderson Settlement, and they may be going through Barnesville as well.

I believe the details are meant to come out as a result of the public hearings and regulatory process.

That being said, they do have a web site that's worth monitoring:

This is the rough map that Trans-Canada put out

http://www.transcanada.com/6248.html

I think it's probably pretty early to be expecting definite plans and routes.

I believe the final route is to be determined, but Maybe a bit further along than many people think.

There are people I know who have had offers on their property before the announcement was made.

Considering how flexible the company that ran the last pipeline through NB was, it may be pretty close to final.

Do you have a source for that map?
1) I'm curious.

There has already been at least one change since the public announcement that I know of, the route was altered to avoid the entire Saint John [eastern] drinking supply watershed, after concerns were raised by the city, et al.

I see the Jelly Bean houses have been bought and are going to be developed. So the Telegraph-Journal says.

The city purchased the two end units prior to Peel Plaza moving forward and had an option to purchase the middle unit. This option expired a few years ago and the city has not inquire about the building since. I can say with certainty they only own two of the three buildings.

I noticed steel going up at the site of the torn down section at the Villa. Looks to be nearly as tall as the shorter of the midrise apartment buildings. I didn't think the new building was to have any real height to it.

I noticed that St. Hubert Express in Rothesay is closing as of tomorrow (Monday). I was told there wasn't enough business, and that someone had bought the building. They were only opened for a year less a week. Too bad. Wonder what's going to replace it.

I was also told that the St. Hubert Express in Saint John is being changed over to a full service, sit down dining room with servers.

I wonder if the location had anything to do with it? I think if it were up in Quispamsis it would do much better. Seemed out of place to me.
Maybe Irving will open s restaurant

I think it's an issue of location, format, and advertising. I don't think there is much remaining market for a semi-fast food restaurant there, as I don't think there can be much of an unfilled lunch capacity, and it's not good enough to be a destination sit down restaurant. Also, I don't remember much for advertising for them, they weren't in Valpak, it looked to me like they were relying on name recognition only. We went once, only because the 9 year old wanted to try it, and it was decent but not something good enough to go out of our way to go to, the little we dine out. And I think we're like the majority in the valley, once we're home, it's in to family time, not into going out to a semi-fast food place for dinner. If anything we grab a cooked chicken and some salad and rolls from the Supercenter on the way home for half the price and half the time.
