Steer clear of RAM site. They're washing down the demo and that usually means only one thing

As in spraying water? That is typical for demo sites to mitigate dust migration.

How safe it is in the general vicinity such as the CN Tower?

^ I think you'll be fine... I was being kidding mostly, but I saw they were washing down some horizontal beams that look like they were tight against the exterior walls on the west side, and if any ACM is going to be lurking in in-accessible spaces, that's where it'll be. Definitely more than dust mitigation going on.

Having said that, just like bedbugs, asbestos is all around us. No point in worrying about it.

The Kingsway proposal looks nice, I'm glad they're building it to the street. That area has huge untapped pedestrian-oriented potential.

Heard a very interesting rumour today about a tower proposal for the old backpackers hostel site.

Long ways off from the sound of it as the shelter has a 5 year lease on the building, and can only renew wit ha demo clause.. and given who's behind it it'll probably sell before it gets built, but we heard 60 stories

Procura has always been on record as saying 40-60 there when the market is right, ie. $600/sqft.

I think you just identified the probability of it ever being built in your statement there, i.e. close to zero.

^ plus it's one of their few redevelopment sites that is generating a revenue stream right now. And quite a healthy one at that from what I understand
