Derichebourg announces today that it has granted an exclusivity period to Swissport regarding the disposal of 100% of Servisair on the basis of an irrevocable and binding offer received today. The Derichebourg Group is an international player in the world of environmental services and services to businesses and to local and municipal authorities. It covers the entire waste recycling chain, from collection through to recuperation. EIA just tweeted a new direct flight to Prince George...then immediately took the tweet down. Any of you 'insiders' know if it was simply a mistake, or if this flight is being announced? Would be so helpful for me, personally. No more connections through Vancouver!

On that note, if you look at the updated Cargo route map on the website it shows Cincinatti as a cargo destination from YEG.

CVG is a DHL hub and YEG currently have DHL service to Seattle using a contracted 737-200F that stops in YYC en route.

Is it a mistake? Or is it a new freighter route coming?

^ We ship stuff via DHL on a daily basis.

Our shipments go as follows

Facility - Northern Alberta (ie, YEG)
Facility - Southern Alberta (ie, YYC)
and then Calgary to CVG.

There will be the odd times when our packages go to YYC and then LAX.

Haven't seen anything go through SEA at least in the past year or so.

The Nolinor 737 is still operating the route on behalf of DHL, it operates Monday-friday and routes BFI-YYC-YEG and reverse.

It parks for the day at YEG and commences the return flight at about 1645 Southbound.

Infact a quick search shows a AMF metro enroute to YEG this afternoon from BFI.

^ Most of our shipments go international....So it may well be that they need to be routed through the main hub at CVG.

But like I said, nothing we ship goes through BFI.

A quick look at AC's winter schedule indicates a huge drop in YEG-LHR starting Oct 26/13 flight 898 goes from daily to 2x week with service on wed and Sunday only... Thats a huge reduction for a flight that is 80-90% full currently.

Typical AC garbage, its quite amazing how pathetic they treat a booming region of 1.3 million+.

I wouldn't worry about it too much as this seems like it is due to a lack of mainline metal. Once AC begins to get its dreamliners in the early part of next year I would expect both YYC and YEG will get there 1 lost frequency back. We both know that YYC/YEG-LHR are both good performers for AC.

Agree with YYC spotter, ive monitored YEG-LHR-YEG for a couple of years now and its certainly a great performer. YYC-LHR-YYC even see's a reduction to 6x weekly this winter (thats a first) for that route.

AC's CEO has clearly stated in the past that the 787's will be deployed into YYC and YEG when they start taking delivery. I assume the route's will stabalize once this occur's.

Keep in mind these are seasonal decreases that should return to normal by spring 14. And AC will likely have a little competition from YEG at that time.

With the YEG and YYC reduction to LHR it has to be a shortage of widebody metal.

At least in YYC's case I thought it may be due to BA and KLM putting a squeeze on AC, but in light of the hub nature of YYC for AC that would be pretty sad to not be able to operate a daily to LHR.
