SF loves its appliances! We have two air purifiers, a jukebox, and a bunch of refrigerators.

You can see it in my lower pic above, but even more so in the pic I took yesterday...crane has been raised.

We are close to halfway up with the core now, this tower will be nearly as high as ORH South!

Rincon North Tower in My View

While I was away in Scotland last week Rincon II broke the skyline in my view from the Essex Fox Plaza. I'm looking forward to seeing two towers in the center of my view. Apparently the Scottish weather followed me home!

Speaking of breaking the skyline, the crane and the top of the tower broke into the view at the ballpark over the weekend as well. It's a bit hard to see from the picture, but it's visible from the view reserve deck.

I was at Saturday's game too and looked for it but couldn't see it from where I was in 305. Nice shot of it.

Couldn't see anything on Tuesday's game from 126!

Seriously, though, this tower is really going up fast.

I tell my visiting friends that the Rincon towers are the giant air conditioners that keep SF so pleasantly chilled.

Cool! As we've said previously, this one is going up really fast. I'm looking forward to seeing how the flipped around horizontal and vertical sides of the two towers will actually look upon completion.

I think it will look good--much better than having matching facades side-by-side! Personally, I prefer the east-facing facade of the existing tower, and that's the one we'll see from within the city most often on the new tower.

Here are some photos I took 7/1/2013 during a BART strike ferry ride:

Great shots from the ferry. This is going to really help ease the awkwardness of the solo South Tower.

How come the lower floor concrete on these towers is a lighter color? What do they spray on it?

Glad to see so may people making updates. I will see Rincon tower 2 in the middle of my view from the Fox Plaza & look forward to seeing the reverse design facing me.

I'm not sure what is being sprayed on the concrete, maybe a water barrier. Recently the wall in my apartment closet was opened because of a small leak and I got to see the steel beams which are coated with asbestos to insulate them in case of a fire.
