^I will give it some more time before a final comment, but it is not encouraging.

That doesn't even qualify as "good enough", which I could have sworn seeing under Edmonton's civic crest.

I also wish they had expanded/extended the ramp so you could do curb side dropoffs like Vancouver.

North side IIRC. It's not as bad as most are making it out to be, but it def' needs colour.

But, but, but, I thought I already was at Edmonton Centre... I'll gladly move to YYC since that's where most of our friends have settled in the last 10 years. It would shorten the drive to the Okanagan, too.

Do you ever work the Edmonton Centre areas? Or just YYC arrivals/departures specifically.

Any idea why we are getting an Omni Air 772 today from Gander? Just had one of their 763's depart for DFW.

Just YYC terminal, but as you know, we're situated in Edmonton Centre.

Guessing military charter. Taking some boys home after basking in our glorious Albertan weather...

Two Northern Air Cargo Boeing 737-300F's inbound to YEG at the moment, both arriving from MSP at 1615 and 1730 roughly. In addition a Kaliita Air 727-200F also arrived from Kansas city. Apparently a few C-130's from the RCAF are arriving aswell to load up supplies etc from Edmonton to be taken to Calgary for relief.

Not looking good in YYC, flights are still coming and going but I have just heard that all Canmore/Banff passengers/Tourists are stranded at YYC and accomodations are becoming scarce in Calgary. Could become a gong show very quickly...

If we can get the word out I'm sure many residents would open their homes up for them.

Perhaps I'll tweet something along those lines?

Im surprised many of the airlines are so far behind in advising pax. The DL flight from ATL had 72 passengers that had intentions of going to the mountains and are now stuck...

WestJet has been on the ball but seems the U.S and European carriers are not getting the scope of the problem?

I've reached out to the YYC twitter account to see if they can give us a number or contact so residents can offer places for them. No response on that yet.

The passenger rep from YYC who's tweets I follow is also saying that the Hotels that do have some room have jacked up prices?

Shame shame shame... This is not the time to be taking advantage of the situation.

On a side note a bunch of Griffons just departed Edmonton bound for the south.

Thomas cook group is "shopping" for new routes and has put out RFP's...

They want to expand long haul operations and have put out two RFP's but are opening it up to other airports very shortly...

EIA wants FRA? Heres a chance at getting Condor to take a look... Its not a scheduled airline but it looks like the only possible carrier for that route at the moment.
