Yes, but it's not UC or built, I thought that was the stipulation here. If proposed is the case, then Halifax has 2, as Fenwick Tower will begin redevelopment this year, having its height increased to 102 meters.

Well if we're counting proposals then I believe that the Connaught extension adds one to Hamilton's list, the Riccio towers are maybes, and if it's far enough along the proposal stage then the Carmen's could count.

Montreal, Philadelphia, San Fransisco to this very day do not having anything taller than Toronto's tallest. And Houston only passed our tallest in 1982, then Los Angeles in 1990.

At that time in the world, as any Skyscraper Geek could tell you, there were no other cities that built skyscrapers outside of North America to that same extent, even Hong Kong.

I thought Philadelphia had a new tallest that's taller than FCP in Toronto, and another Chrysler building look-a-like thats taller too?

Comcast tower in Philly is 297meters, FCP is one meter taller at 298meters.. I guess sometimes seeing a downtown from a different angle or from Amtrak railway gives a different perspective..

Philadelphia's Comcast Center (the city's new tallest) is 1 meter shorter than FCP, and One Liberty Place (the Chrysler Building look-alike) is 10 meters shorter than FCP. Out of the top 10 between the two cities (UC and Built) Toronto has 6 to Philadelphia's 4. Plus Toronto has the 11th - 13th as well.

Wow, that first Toronto pic really illustrates how this city has come into itself as a major metropolis. It's amazing in that it doesn't really feature the city's tallest but comes across so well. Love it.

And the union station thing is coming along too - nice.

Toronto's got Philly beat for height but aesthetically I will give Philly credit for this, for comparable buildings (somewhat similar height & massing) I'd take;
Comcast Center over First Canadian Place,
One Liberty Place over Trump,
Mellon Bank Center over TD Canada Trust Tower,
Two Liberty Place over Aura (might change after fully clad)

For Toronto, I'd take only Scotia over its nearest Philly comparable, Three Logan Square.
But of course, Philly has no answer for Commerce Court, ICE, TD Tower, Bay-Adelaide, Shangri-La, 4 Season & L and soon One Bloor

Since the reclad, I actually like FCP a lot, and I'd probably pick it over Comcast. But I would quickly trade two of the faceless towers like BAC for One Liberty Place. Toronto needs more pointy, full-spired towers, like the original design for BAC.

Windsor's 2nd tallest is Victoria Park Place Condos at 88.7m, we only have one over 100m.

The spire of the Forum Tower goes over 100 meters, and of course the roof of Augustus goes to 111.
