It has been a century since the opening of the High Level Bridge, an engineering and construction feat that changed Edmonton forever.
The first train went across the 755-metre-long steel and concrete bridge on June 2, 1913, and the enormous structure soon became a symbol for the city, but the main motivation for building the span was moving people and goods between the high North Saskatchewan River banks...
