Fraser Brinsmead at Brinsmead Kennedy. I will admit, I am impressed.

Your impressed and I am shocked. Who would have guessed he and the firm were so capable. He must have racheted up the design effort for WAM given the location. The Lobby and main entrance are a winner - talk about great curb appeal.

^I think WAM had a lot of influence on this. They hired a new VP from another reputable highrise developer in Toronto over a year ago. Based on what we've seen I think he's bringing that expertise to the table.

BK has a bunch of newer hires, perhaps that had an impact?

It's for work going on for space on City Centre's third floor above the bay. I believe this lift was Mechanical Equipment. There should be a bigger lift with a bigger crane for the same project later this summer.

I'm looking forward to checking it out tomorrow morning. Between this and the city's recent work between stadium station and 93st the path along the old CN line just got a whole lot more pleasant

Just jumping back to Mayfair Village North, I noticed the sign on the corner of Jasper and 109th still says "coming mid-2013"

Downtown parking is about to go high-tech

Cailynn Klingbeil
Edmonton Journal

Monday, June 03, 2013

Edmonton drivers will soon be able to pay for downtown street parking downtown with credit cards and cellphones, as the city experiments with a high-tech parking system from Calgary.

A trial set to launch this week will see some coin-fed meters replaced with the equipment, which uses digital terminals and sees the licence plates of violators read by cameras mounted on patrol vehicles.

High Level Bridge celebrates 100 years of mobility
Lesson of the span is 'think big and it can be done,' poet says

Alexandra Zabjek
Edmonton Journal

Monday, June 03, 2013

It has been a century since the opening of the High Level Bridge, an engineering and construction feat that changed Edmonton forever.

The first train went across the 755-metre-long steel and concrete bridge on June 2, 1913, and the enormous structure soon became a symbol for the city, but the main motivation for building the span was moving people and goods between the high North Saskatchewan River banks...
