Proportion seems hamfisted and lacking harmony on this elevation. Quite the jumble, and not in a good way.

I might regret this, but it kinda reminds me of a cousin of Arthur Erickson's condo in false creek... a bit less refined and a bit less nautical, but similar.

I thought one of the renders showed the north elevation. At a distance, mind you, but it still is the north elevation.

Strategic Group out of Calgary purchased the CN a while back and at the real estate forum suggested a 'reimagine' of it.

IMO, this is one of the best potential candidates for a CoE office consolidation. It will help to absorb some solid lower end space (perfect for civic government drones) and won't result in a downtown-wide glut of vacant space, which will lead to lower property values and tax reates, and having the city government paying the highest lease rates in the city.. which would be incredibly irresponsible


Also heard of some really creative re-use of a Bental Property that should be coming out shortly

8 floors of AHS space to deal with.

IMO, this is a perfect opportunity to give that building a much need retrofit, and suit the city office consolidation without adding a major glut of empty space to our market
