I like the concept of having a sharp and edgy design, but it needs to be sleek. This building just doesn't seem sleek. At least it makes decent use of airspace.

OK, but the main problem is, as noted, it's facing backwards

Thanks for all the pics Built Form. I'm not crazy about the Davie tower but the Hornby and Burrard towers are doing it for me.

Thnaks!
The green slivers seem to unify the tow condo towers.
I like the green panels/lattice on the shorter tower more now than the white lattice on the taller tower. The white lattice seems to have a lot of awkward edges (esp. the one facing the alley north of teh protruding part).
The treatment of the podium facing the alley looks cheap (square and rectangular windows)

I don't like that curry/risotto yellow color at all on the shorter tower. The whole tower is very meh anyways.

The tall tower still looks great to my eyes, but if they are indeed dropping the original color, I am very disappointed. We have too many white/gray buildings in this town and all color would be great (except the curry/risotto yellow )!

May I express total agreement on both points: lattice colour and meh Davie tower. (To console myself, I'm just glad the lattice colour wasn't black, or orange-red.)

Got the same invitation as well. It says that the floor counts on the three towers will be: 54, 36 and 14 floors. A total of 810 residential units, of which 87 are rental. FSR 13.33 and total floor area of 919,119 sq. ft.

Cool so at least there hasn't been a height reduction

The whitewash is terrible, but at least it'll add some much-needed vertical variety.

I notice that the documents for this development state that the height of the tallest tower is 160 m to the top of the uppermost floor. So this must mean that the actual very top of the tower is well above that?

Someone submitted as drawing of the building at a height of 173 m. Is that a good estimate for the tower? It would be nice to know the real number though.

Sounds about right, we'll have to wait for the DPB submission sometime in the future to get the final number.

Davie Tower?

It doesn't look like any of the project will be fronting Davie.

Please excuse my mistake. I was tired. I really meant the second tallest tower, which appears to have an abundance of latticework to be painted a yelowwish green color. Got my bearings mixed up is all. Excuse me

I think that the 7-11 fronting Davie may be redeveloped as part of Burrard Gateway?

It might be, but it's "A" on that diagram. So not on the site.
