YEG - Edmonton Int Airport

Heres a list of this spring/summers transborder flights for YEG.

-Minneapolis/St.paul. 21 flights per week. Delta Connection.
-Seattle. 21 flights per week. Alaska/Horizon Air.
-Chicago O'Hare. 14 flights per week. United Express
-Denver. 21 flights per week. United Airlines, United Express. (20 flights per week from July to August)
-San Francisco. 14 flights per week. United Express.
-Newark. 6 flights per week. United Airlines.
-Houston. 14 flights per week. United Airlines. (7 flights per week from July to August)
-Phoenix. 9 flights per week. US Airways, WestJet.
-Las Vegas. 18 flights per week. WestJet, Sunwing Airlines.

This summer see's capacity increase for YEG to the U.S. with EWR being added, Las Vegas is increased by WestJet adding 2 additional frequencies per week and Sunwing resuming twice weekly summer service. San Francisco increases to twice daily (up from one daily), and Denver see's a small seat increase with the addition of United mainline metal 6 days per week. Keep in mind a few seasonal reductions on the Phoenix route and Houston see's a reduction for a much shorter period compared to last year aswell. Aswell a few of the seasonal WestJet destinations take a break for the summer.

Looks like it should be a strong summer for growth in the transborder sector.

its cold up here - was in high lev el this evening and it was only 8c but the wind was arctic cold brr - was snowing just an hour ago here in rainbow lake - i wish it would warm up already

Thanks for updating to 14X, I was excited essentially. I fly that route like many, often and would like to see a mid afternoon flight return like 2 years ago. But still happy to have at least 2x daily.

Close... But...
MSP is 20pw
SEA is 20pw
DEN is 21pw through the whole period
SFO was actually 2 daily last summer as well
PHX is 7 from 31 May to 6 Sep when Westjet takes hiatus
LAS is same as last summer 10pw. Sunwing starts again 16 Sept and Westjet starts increasing mid Sept again.

So approx 18 flights per day as 2012 but capacity increases coming by way of more mainline metal as you mentioned.

Well whatever your seeing must be alot more upto date then what I looked at...

UAL website showed only 2 flights on saturdays to DEN... Hmmm.

Was quite a fun little flight. The beech 1900d is loud as hell, but thankfully no real turbulence.

18 flights a day on average, and 9 cities served year round is much better than YEG as seen before. Lets keep filling those seats, I've been doing my part, off to ORD I go... wish we had some better flights options to the US around dinner time.

Sun-Fri UA has 2 daily Express and 1 daily mainline. Saturdays all 3 flights are express. So overall still 3 daily.

Thanks, I looked at the pic and did not read the caption...I was in a hurray to read never thinking from the quick glance that was EIA . Sweet!
But I cant figure which direction is what in the pic - is the QE2 to the left? The highway is not clear and if so what happened to the airport? and our view is looking from the North?

That's looking due south. QE2 is to the left. The airport is just to the west you can't see if from this angle. The new stars and cargojet hangars would be along the runway if this were up to date. If your out by the airport you can see the land has been developed and ready for construction.
