They should resume that effort and keep trying. More and more people aremoving downtown, and a lot of them are moving into their neighborhood. If it wasn't possible then, I would hope they've realized how circumstances have changed. Get to work Gateway!
Seriously, if anyone from Gateway trolls this board, here are some ideas, per my own and other forumers:
Bowling Alley
Grocery store
Laser Tag
Petco or PetSmart
More restaurants and bars
Another music venue
Invite food carts to set up shop.
Invite street performers/ musicians
Put a cafe in the southern region. It is ridiculous that that the two Starbucks are right next to each other!
Paint the stucco with some vibrant colors!
Remove the stucco from the clock tower, replace with brick!
