wow, that first shot is unintentionally classic west side/peninsula vancouver, down to the jogging moms.

if that top floor is a single 'penthouse', i'm truly impressed and slightly envious of whatever chinese millionaire's child will get to roam that space when he's visiting canada.

That first photo is a great one from an angle that I have not seen that often.

Thanks.
Those two poles must be to hold up the canopy with the hole through it.

At least there won't be any more of it. What was the architect thinking?

Noticed some interesting looking orange slat-like siding on the Seymour side at grade.
Also noticed that the facades facing Pacific have been painted a putty-coloured light gray. Not sure if wooden slats will be installed as shown on the renderings - but maybe the paint is background for slats like those on the Seymour side.

The fins look better than I thought they would but this building is a pretty sold turd all around imo.

Not hot on it myself, but what I hate the most is that big,5-level lower part. Looks like a bomb shelter or military bunker of some sort. Even the building angle clashes with the road ramp angle.

The Mark today. The area is starting to look dense from certain angles.

Omg the spandrel on the top of the building is painful to look at. Seriously who at the city allowed this?

To me The Mark is not a landmark building but infill, like I tried to demonstrate in these photos. Not very beautiful on its own, but a nice part of the surrounding area. My 2 cents.

The random spandrel is criminal, it's actually disturbing. I hope in a few years they'll pull a 'wall centre' and re-glaze. Short of that, may it be an shining example of 'what not to do' and a turning point for condo architecture in Vancouver.

Anyone know how well The Mark has been selling? Is it sold out?
