Perhaps great news, as with the arena, performing arts center; the fed, constant drivel about potholes & infrastructure shortcomings, the last thing we need is to push a somewhat stringy idea about a gondola.

Although a cool idea, now is not the best time. It will have it's time.

Can somebody please explain to me why BCM routinely shows piss-poor renderings of their product (Corner 1, Edmontonian)? Are they embarrassed by their product?

Is it too much to ask for a decent render that isn't low-res or doesn't cut out important parts of the building?

No balcony either - this a "massive" design won't appeal to anyone that is claustrophobic. Dark rooms = lush living for bedbugs and other bugs.

To me this was a dark horse last year. Also the scale of which was to be considerably smaller in stature!

Looks like this is going to become a reality. And the size is incredible.

I wonder what Impact this will have on the 102st Center. U of A was rumored to acquire space there.

Saw the rendering on the news yesterday; looks like the site occupies the eastern end of Stationlands, north of the CN Tower and just to the west of the old Remand Centre...

U of A would lease if the province funds it. A very different proposition.

Heard interesting rumblings recently from a couple of reliable sources close to the KR project. They are getting the impression that the owners want to sell off. Anyone else hearing this?

Most of the funding now comes from tuition, donors and research. The Province is forgetting that - and needs reminding.
