As much as I love the idea of an LA outdoor game (and hate when people auto-dismiss it due to heat) the game at Caesar's Palace had some pretty poor ice. That being said, it was 22 years ago, and ice-making technology has certainly improved.

Wow, I expected the Habs to come out battling tonight after their recent loses. I figured my team would be hard pressed to come out of this game with a point with our top two players and arguably top defensemen out for the game. But this, I wasn't expecting... and I think Therrien might want to reconsider his statment about the Habs having two good goalies.

Yes the goalies aren't playing great but our diffensive play is just HORRIBLE! Never first on the puck, feels almost like nobody wants to play.... Never thought Emelin and Diaz would make such a difference...

Therrien has COMPLETELY lost his mind...

Let's take a look at ice time:

Josh Gorges (worst player on the ice tonight): 23:41 min... most used player

Andrei Markov (best D tonight): 22:56 min
Subban was thrown out of the game so he finished with 16 min

Now let's look at forwads

Tomas Plekanec: 18:10 min... most used forward, no surprise there
David Desharnais: 16:10 min... second most used forward.

But here is where I REALLY am pissed

Alex Galchenyuk was the second least used forward tonight with 9:45 min.
He has 8 pts in his last 8 games and he's been one of our best player for a month now.
That's how the coach rewards him? Pathetic!!!

For god's sake Toronto, help a brother out and win the game tonight against the Islanders. We needed you to beat the Capitals but that didn't work.

The Jets are doing all they can by winning 4 in a row but no one wants to help out.

I was hoping for the Flames to lose one last night, but on the positive side, it did allow Columbus to move into eighth place.

The Coilers need to start winning again or they will be in the running for the #1 pick again. That would be absolutely ridiculous if it were to happen, would have to be a record for one team failing so hard. Man I'm glad I'm not a fan of that team.

It would be. Neither the Boston Bruins nor the Quebec Nordiques managed to get last four times in a row.

That would be awesome! Toronto and Montreal haven't met in the playoffs in a really long time.

And again, Galcheniuk with only 8.21 min of ice time tonight (least used player of both team) and still got a goal and the third star. Dumont played more than him!!

Finally a win for the Habs! We REALLY needed that. Nice to see Gionta scoring again and Galchenyuk is still hot.

Still, I'm not hopeful for the game against the caps but who knows...

What an ugly win LOL!

Therrien is pissing me off... Galchenyuk plays just a little bit over 8 min (least used player). In those 8 minutes, he was able to score his 9th goal of the season. Now 24 pts in 44 games.

The kid has now points in 8 of his last 9 games (13:28 being his highest TOI) . He has scored in 3 consecutive games despite the fact he played less than 10 minutes in ALL of them.

When everything went wrong, he was one of the few who actually played well and this is the way to reward him?

What would be more awesome would be Toronto losing to Montreal in the last game of the season and Winnipeg jumping them to take the 8th spot in the east. Now that would be pleasant in a evil sort of way.

I agree, especially considering I made a bet with a friend from T-dot that the Jets would place higher come season end.

Blue colored pigs flying in the sky would be just as awesome, and just as likely.

The Jets will be lucky to make the playoffs, and if they do the only reason is because they playing in the AHL, or as some call it; the Southeast division. I'd love to see their record playing in an actual NHL division like the northeast.
