haha....crescent heights. Still, the scale is way better in person.....The buildings tower over you, even though you are on the top of a hill. Good effect especially at night.

L-Tower has an amazing impact on Toronto's skyline. It adds elegance and refinement. The best tower build in that city during the boom.

Man Jasper Ave needs some love, that street has so much potential!

^that it does. especially with all the density that surrounds it. the new jasper ave streetscape between 109th and 97th will probably help make the ave more inviting. seems like 124 st and 104 st are further along in revitalization than edmonton's main street. the oliver section (109th-124th, in the foreground of the picture) is the part that really needs the most help, downtown isn't as bad.

As far as height and the general modernity and innovation(by Canadian standards) yes, Calgary's is the skyline of the future. But from an architectural standpoint, Vancouver's is far ahead on that front with the Living Shangri-la, Vancouver's Turn, Beach and Howe Tower, The Residences, One Wall Centre, and eventually Burrard Gateway.

I don't really find the architecture of most of the towers in Vancouver to be that much better than Calgary, it's the difference in street level that really sets Van apart to me.

In the major towers of Van, there's a big difference, and that difference will only be drastically increasing over the next 7 years. Calgary is doing well, just Vancouver's designs are much more interesting, less hodge-podge (3 Eau Claire, Kings on 4th are both very hodgepodge), and a couple even jaw dropping in a good way (The Turn, Beach and Howe Tower).
