Great, now we just need a bunch more the same size or larger! I really like the cladding on Le V. It turned out better than I expected.

^Agreed. Ideally, those two 1-2 storey restaurants immediately east of le V ought to be replaced with similar sized towers. The restaurants could come back in the podium of these towers I don't care, but 2 storey buildings son't belong on one of canada's most imposing streets, it's silly they were even allowed. But until then, le V fills out a gaping hole wonderfully.

And it should be mentioned that in the first picture posted by martin, the space between PVM and Le V will be filled out completely by TOM (122) and Point Zero (125) in a few years. The QDS tower will start filling in the gap between Le V and Desjardins too.

If SNC Lavalin ever recovers from the corruption and international swashbuckling episodes and does build its HQ across the street from Le V, this part of downtown will be as dense as University/Rene-levesque.

These two photos show quite a lot.

The main construction site in the foreground is actually two - a PF Changs' Restaurant, and a Legros & Motti restaurant.

They're being built beside the Keg on a little strip of land that exists between Harbour Drive and the apron of St. John's Harbour.

It's kind of funny... in the past, Water Street (one block to the right) was the very first street in St. John's. And it had no harbour-facing buildings. From the harbour, you were looking at the backs of the city-facing buildings. Almost everything you see in these photos was actually harbour. It was filled in with rubble from the city following the great fire of 1892 and now we're slowly but surely adding yet another block of buildings.

You can also see, of course, 351 and Fortis Place in these photos as well.

Lots of great projects in the area around Granville Bridge on the downtown peninsula! So excited to go back to Van sometime!

It's too bad they're all mediocre filler at best. I can't wait for BIG's proposal to become reality however.

Which one is that? The Rolston is pretty good though, especially the paneling. The spandrel on both Rolston and Maddox 🞵🞵🞵🞵, but both have very nice coloured paneling which is a bit of saving grace. I think it will look much better once curtains/blinds are in cause that will blend the windows more with the colour of the spandrel.

The Mark bothers me the most because it had so much potential but was ultimately cheapened to the point of looking like it wouldn't be out of place in Coquitlam Centre's skyline.

Yeah I agree with you on all counts, but I still like Rolston. The Beach and Howe Tower is incredible. Is it going through?!
