Eh, what? Like 5 seconds after that he called Carey Price the best goaltender in the league or something. You're trying to hard with "everyones against us" bullshit.

Not sure what you watched...

He called the 3 Ottawa Senators goalies the 3 best in the World.

The current alignment has mostly to do with solving the problem of an NHL club in Winnipeg. Bettman made mention how its unlikely any realignment would have happened had the Thrashers stayed put. Right now, the Coyotes are still in Phoenix so they'll approach it that way. Though I share your puzzlement over if the Coyotes do move to Québec, what the best solution would be .

The fact it helped out other teams in the process was just a side benefit. Should the Coyotes actually move, I wouldn't be surprised to see another full overhaul or teams moved around since "the present situation" would thus change
Indeed. The Coyotes are still in Phoenix but it's only a matter of time until they're moved. Local investors aren't going to support the team, outside investors can't get the money loaned to them, and Glendale city council won't foot any money without investors. So, that's the situation in the easiest way I can put it. Quebec has been the most adamant and ready to receive a team and are certainly the favourites. The realignment plan is the sole thing that makes the whole Quebec move a bit awkward moving forward. Like I said, you'd be pissing off too many teams by changing the alignment so soon after improving it so much for them. There would need to be more than one relocation or additional teams added via expansion to warrant a new alignment within, say, 5 years of this one. The Panthers moving west would certainly help with the need to realign because if Phoenix moves to Quebec then the East will outnumbers the West 17-13. Say hello to Seattle, Houston, and Kansas City

Meh, close enough. Besides, I'm pretty sure he's called Carey Price the best goaltender in the world before. A quick google search shows as much.

Bouwmeester traded to St. Louis for a 1st rounder along with Cundari and Reto Berra.

If Berra ever comes over to North America he's your franchise goalie.

As well, anybody who calls Anderson, Bishop, and Lehner the three best goalies in the world needs to get their head examined. They're all strong goalies but none of them are near best in the world. I know he was just going on like he usually does, but it's nowhere near accurate. Cherry should have stopped CC five years ago.

Excellent news for Flames fans. Maybe J-bo will do better in St Louis and I hope he dopes, but from the standpoint of the Flames, they lose 6M off their cap, gain a first rounder and also gain some prospects.

Sounds like Kipper may be moved too. Going to be a very different look to the Flames next year. Lots of cap space to work with now too.

The Toronto marlies are finally making the play offs after being absent for the past 46,000 years. It appears that they will face off against the Jets. For once in my life, I will be watching a Laughs playoff series. Ought to be fun!

So if St. Louis makes the playoffs, that's THREE 1st round picks for us. Sure, 2 will be rather deep, but whatever. Let's trade Kipper for another, please. Might as well stock up on a very deep draft.

Not sure about any of these prospects we're getting back, but at this point I don't even care.

As long as Kipper is willing to report. I supoose that's why teams will be talking to him first.

Nice to see Bouwmeester traded

Is the first round pick conditional on the the Blues making the playoffs?

If the Blues miss, we get their first round pick next year, and a fourth round pick this year as compensation.

So the best case scenario is the Blues missing this year, and finishing 30th next year. Dare to dream.

lol, you never know in this league. Chances are the Blues will make the playoffs, and we get the first round pick. That in itself is good for the Flames. Now we just need to keep losing and get a really high pick.

It feels good having the Oilers ahead in the standings and winning games against the Flames.

PK Subban now leads all D in pts. Subban-Markov keep lighting it up. Habs fans have always wanted to see these 2 but with Markov's injuries it never happened (for more than 15 games lol) until this season. They look even better than expected. Simply unstoppable.

Congrats to Nathan Beaulieu for his first NHL point. Looked really good.

51 pts now!!!

I dunno, the Blues are in 8th spot, and Nashville, CBJ and Edmonton are only a few points behind.
