Manulife 2, Bellamy, Edmontonian, Stationlands B, Imperial Place, Viking Arms, and Aurora. I just want to know which are approved and which are still proposed. I'm trying to update the wikipedia page for Edmonton's tallest buildings and I think it is ripe with misinformation and lack of information.
Manulife 2 - still kicking around
Bellamy - Not sure
Edmontonian - DOA, it's BCM we're talking about here.
Stationlands - still kicking around
Imperial Place - Not sure what is being refered here off the top of my head.
Viking Arms - Not sure
Aurora - Dead

So none of them are approved then?

Yeah I probably could've worded that better. Sorry for the confusion.

On that note, Waterloowarrior posted a great rendering of the towers being proposed in this area. It's going to be a secondary (and much taller) cluster to our current CBD (top right of photo).

I'd really like to see a couple of buildings between Downtown and Carling that would make it into one big skyline, it wouldn't really take that many to give continuity.

Let me add to what Xelebes has.

Manu 2 (102st centre now) - very much moving forward... expect action next year.

Bellamy - I am expecting a sale of the building/land/plans

Edmontonian - 68 storeys... by BCM... really?

Stationlands B - It is a front runner for the City of Edmonton RFP for 350,000sqft that closes on April 8. Could be u/c by summer/fall.

Imperial Place?

Viking Arms was nothing more than a try to upzone and flip in an overheated market. DOA

Aurora project - sold to a wealthy Edmontonian with other major interests adjacent to it... Go Oilers!

other projects going:

Fox I - u/c
Ultima - u/c
Kelly Ramsey - expect site work this summer
Encore condo - fall sales/early 2014 start potentially
107st low-rise tower - u/c
mayfair north - expect summer construction
Arena hotel/office/retail - fall start

There are also probably another 3-6 projects in the soon to start status depending on sales/market.

The arena district towers (all 100m+) are starting this year? That's fantastic!

How tall (approx.) will Kelly Ramsay be?

That's a really impressive development. It is really serious?

2 of them so far are serious (SoHo Italia and Claridge Icon), and this new proposal has yet to be official proposed with building data and what not, but if they released rendering at a meeting, I'm sure they are serious about it.

She's a lovely lady That's a pretty decent height! I like it!

4 new construction booms are coming online this year! Montreal, Edmonton, Winnipeg, and Hamilton! Awesome stuff Hopefully Saskatoon joins in soon with River Landing, River Centre II, and the office tower on 2nd Ave!

From SSC

I'm very surprised that Cooksville is getting the pretty buildings, while the core of Mississauga is receiving more mediocre-class buildings (with the obvious exception of Absolute's towers and Parkside Village's podiums).

Nothing special but here's a proposal for another project in downtown Hamilton.

This is being proposed right next to the massive Hilton/Condo project. This entire block is really booming, there's already three cranes in the block.
