Not very tall, but a nice building! And it's mixed-use.

Any high rise in Edmonton is a good thing!

No...No not any high rise is a good thing in Edmonton lol. But this is a pretty good proposal. And 2 blocks away will be 102st Center. Not to forget 6 blocks away will be the arena district and possibly Station Lands part deux.

Nice proposal for Edmonton, however the podium has no relation to the tower. Seems to be a common theme for that city.

In this case, there is a heritage building that we want to retain... they will deconstruct and reconstruct it.

I love that Edmonton proposal. Again, exactly what I'd like to see more of here.

The best part about the KR proposal in Edmonton is that it is literally dead centre of the CBD/arts district/hotel area.

It will add an innumerable amount of people and activity to a bit of a dead zone currently.

University City III and IV in Calgary. I and II are significantly taller and already topped out with most of the cladding already up on Tower I and about 1/3 the way up on Tower II. It's a massive TOD across Highway 1A from the University of Calgary, on the C-train's 201 Northwest Line.

I'm liking the new E condos, hopefully they have more luck selling them than they have had so far. I doubt we'll be seeing this one going up any time in the near future though.

I understand why many of you don't like this building so far. I think we should wait for more details though. I'm really curious to see what type of cladding they're using on this one. It looks interesting. It looks like a tall Mars 2 and actually blends in well with the 50's era offices around it. The one thing I am 100% happy about is that they aren't just tearing down the building that's currently on the corner or the deco building just to the east. The design works fine with the building in the foreground but does fail where it meets up with the deco building.

So is there more to this "tower"? I only count 14 floors.

No... why would there be? It's always been proposed as a short office along with a 110 meter residential and 165 meter residential.

I don't really know what kind of proposals would look good in residential areas like this.

Under construction in Ottawa-Gatineau

This is my first time seeing this thread. Very nice! I noticed there aren't any Ottawa projects. Here are a few projects under construction in Ottawa-Gatineau:

The Merit

Le Viu (Gatineau, Quebec)

Gotham

SOHO Champagne

Cathedral Hill
