Anyone know about Shaw Conference centre renos or expansion, looks like this is moving ahead.

Also heard Stadium Station expansion and upgrade now moving as well.

St Albert Centre expansion is on now as well.

Yes, they are starting the rehab of the platform and will be doing other upgrades. We met with the city last month about the Cromdale streetscape project, and how it can tie into the south entrance of the station to make it more safe and attractive looking. Glad they are not moving the station at least in the short term

Notice to close a ROW on 103st north of 98ave... basically the treed area south of hillside estates. The owner of the lot south of this ROW wants to consolidate and redevelop the land.

And thank you for thinking I'm young. I'm glad that my being in the real estate industry for about 25 years hasn't softened my resolve against hackneyed architecture.

EDMONTON - City councillors unanimously approved a controversial Malmo Plains redevelopment Monday after the developer and residents resolved their major issues.

Westcorp Developments Inc. applied last fall to build more than 500 units for families and seniors in four apartment buildings up to eight storeys high and seven 3-1/2-storey townhouses near 51st Avenue and 117th Street.

In 2006, the company had been allowed to build a 250-unit complex, including a 16-storey apartment tower, on the 2.5-hectare property it is leasing for 99 years from the University of Alberta.

Astoria, the whole thing from the render looks pretty amateur. I don't know what to make of all that glass that 'seems' to be the only good thing about it. Where's the balconies?? And it's way too transparent to reflect anything that would really go up. I see the design on this changing a lot, let's just hope for the better.
