Shuttle America and SkyWest have done good by from Edmonton, I have experience some not so stellar things out of Chicago on other regionals. But one also has to remember that every carrier has its issue. Those of use that travel on a weekly/daily bases come to take every experience with a grain of salt.

So actually numbers really good if you take in to account one less day of 19k people if I'm reading it right

Also impressive is February had over 5,000 more trans passengers compared to January which had 3 more days.

if to take one average day away, february was 6.1% better than feb last year. not too shabby

United changes (again!)

YEG-IAH will remain at two daily flights. No decrease as earlier indicated by the airline. Now showing a 737-700/800 mix and A319 red eye. Looks like a small drop in July to 1 daily (it'll probably change again) then back to 2 for August... UAL is constantly changing schedules right now so don't count on anything being a solid change.

Tuffy where are you seeing this. June July still listed as 1x daily. I do see the red eye is replaced in late summer by a second morning flight at 925.

Northern Alberta politicians tour new medevac service at Edmonton International Airport

EDMONTON - Planeloads of northern Albertans flew into the Edmonton International Airport Wednesday to inspect the gleaming white hangar that government officials insist will provide timely medical treatment and transportation once it opens later this week.

The 3,600-square-metre air ambulance base at the EIA opened its doors to almost 200 people, including 14 MLAs, mayors and councillors from northern municipalities, and a slew of media from places such as Grande Prairie who were flown in for the event. The City Centre Airport will stop taking medevac flights on Friday.

“I don’t actually think it’s about politics. I think it’s about demonstrating first-hand for people the care that’s taken to consider quality and to consider patient safety,” Health Minister Fred Horne said about the event.

Minor correction,the flights run into early June then a short drop to one for a small period. As mentioned I wouldn't be surprised to see this tweaked again as UAL is always changing schedules.

Thanks Tuffy. I find their schedule adjustment starting mid-August interesting with two morning flights to Houston; dropping the red-eye. I think the second flight is what YEG really needs more of...mid morning departures to catch more connecting passengers.

Yep! That is why I avoid them like a plaque- business or personal. They only give us services when they want to counter competing carriers and their route. It is no wonder they have some form of financial delima once every decade.

United has always been the strongest US carrier to YEG. Hats off to them!

Baffles me that they can link YEG to pretty much every hub they have (except Washington) and everyone else just sits back and watches...

Interesting fact is UAL used to serve YEG back in the 80's aswell with 727-200's from Denver and Houston.

You sure that wasn't AA to Houston? I remember taking the same 727 YEG-YYC-DFW-IAH
