No mechanical for food there... and very expensive to bring it. Cafe works where it is to be honest. I suspect we will see either private retail or conversion to a department.

This. If done correctly, and was full of female freshmen students.

Terrible marketing name. Glad to see them rebuilding the ground level for better street/pedestrian interaction.

Went by the east side of the post office this morning, there is a Link Belt crane lifting some steel onto concrete column right across from the remand. This looks like a crane base going in on the Museum site.

^ Excellent, those CRUs should bring some much needed activity to that area.

A computer store in that location would be perfectly acceptable.

Or an even greater idea...a mini-Bay store, given the building's original purpose. It can be a specialty outlet for things like Team Canada apparel, Olympic apparel, etc.

C'mon Indira, do the right thing and lease it out!

That thing's just screaming for a re-skin. Shame it won't happen.

They didn't reskin Sun Life. So I'm not exactly sure what you were expecting them to do with their neighbouring tower.

While it may be lacking a reskin, if you go to the website you'll see that the evening spot lighting does well to reinvigorate this building.

the two towers are not owned by the same party so i'm not sure why you're linking what happens to one based in what did or didn't happen to the other...

^ Not sure who's got the capital behind the buildings, but Bentall runs Sun Life, and not ATB... so there's nothing operationally connecting the two except that breezeway.

I don't find either tower particularly offensive... they're just examples of the style at the time they were built.

Reskinning those buildings would likely be more difficult than a standard tower, due to those pre-cast escutcheons between the windows

Actually, Bentall manages ATB Place, also. They have different owners, though.
