Ok sure, then you wouldn't mind seeing the Royal York go then, right? Or hell, that commerce court art deco building is only 34 floors, surely a shiny new 70 storey generic blue tower could take its place. Gotta take that capitalistic mindset all the way to the bank!
Well Commerce Court had some additional land, hence Commerce Court West.
I'm sure too one day the Royal York will get a massive tower upgrade, especially with all the work on the pipeline for Front West, and 500k per day capacity at Union. We may actually live long enough to see it happen.

Glad to see Edmonton has the making of a relatively prominent second or third skyline. It'd be awesome if a new tallest residential went up in that area in the future. I'm talking like 150m mark!

I love how that office building just to the right of Sovereign isn't even in the top 5 tallest offices in Burnaby, yet it is still over 15 meters taller than any office building in Mississauga The only other suburb in the country with offices as tall as Burnaby is Surrey. I wonder why/how Vancouver CMA got so decentralized? I like it though. Very cool that not only does the City of Vancouver itself have multiple business cores, but the metropolitan area also has quite a few more.
