Lol, she arrived on N54SL her very own Global express at Executive flight centre FBO according to my friends tweet. The aircraft in the background of the picture from the Edmonton Journal seems to show NavCans CRJ-200 parked off in the distance.

Friends tweet tonight indicates the AN-225 is returning to YEG in two weeks... He explained so far the company he works for received a fuel release request for the giant. Don't worry I'll be digging for information for those who are interested in spotting the 6 engined monster!

Speaking of FedEx for the second time this week the A300-600F is operating the YEG-MEM route. This aircraft is larger than the A310 recently deployed on the route.

This goes to show that even with SunWing adding flights from Grande Prarie and Fort McMurray it has had little to no impact on Sunwings service from Edmonton.

On the cargo side of things, who could it be? The only other main Cargo carrier YEG lacks is UPS with its own metal. However it could be someone else all together. It could also just be Purolator who still is not using the new facility simply moving to the new facility?

When I drove past on airport road a few hours ago, there was the (now) usual A310 and 2 A300's parked on the FedEx ramp. Pretty crowded.

Looks like one of the two A300's is running to Memphis and the Single A310 is routing to Indianapolis... Interesting! Wondering if the A300 is possibly mechanical?

I'm not sure if cargo capacity is higher than expected for FedEx but it seems the A300 is becoming the regular aircraft used for the YEG-MEM flight. The A310 seems to be getting subbed more often than not by the 300.

Lol. Everytime I check in, you've already shared my thoughts.... Since last summer, YYC had been getting twice daily FedEx A300F service but now that number seems to be down to 9-10X weekly. I wonder if a substantial amount of their loads (when the 757F was flying to YEG) was being trucked up to Edmonton afterward.... With widebody service directly available to YEG, I'm wondering if FedEx has been surprised by the (apparently, outwardly) strong demand to Edmonton. Hope to keep seeing a plus (i.e. Heavy) sign after the FedEx data tag flying into Edmonton for the foreseeable future.

United updates for YEG (spring/summer 2013).

YEG-DEN will see the introduction of one daily mainline flight using a A319. But just two daily flights one by Shuttle America E-170 and the 319.

YEG-IAH goes to one daily for the summer using a mix of 737-700/800.

YEG-ORD twice daily using CRJ-700.

YEG-SFO twice daily using CRJ-700.

YEG-EWR 6x week using A319.

Good to see the mainline flight to DEN none the less.

US Airways maintains the two daily YEG-PHX flights using A319's.

DELTA 3 daily YEG-MSP flights 2x EMB-170 and one daily CRJ-900.

Alaska/Horizon 3 daily YEG-SEA flights all Q400's.

Really nice to see mainline service finally to Denver, rather that than 3x daily which included the horrid CRJ. But it looks like 3x daily minus the mainline returns in September.

Good to see SFO return to 2x Daily from 1x Daily.

Noticed AC released their summer domestic and international route adjustments. Lots of cuts on the domestic front that YEG has avoided...then again there isn't much to cut.

Has anyone flown United down to Houston more than once? I'm trying to get down to Orlando and it seems like Chicago, Denver and Houston (and Toronto unfortunately) come into play for connections. What i'm really after is if United uses 737's with IFE in the seat backs. I know i won't have the option with the Chicago and Denver flights but it would be nice to have IFE on the somewhat longer flight to IAH. Both the 6:30 and 23:50 flights come into play which may be tough flights anyways with two young ones.

Forget United....take Alaska's POS Q400 to Seattle, than get on a nice modern 737 to Orlando.
