^ it's too simple. It has to made into a political issue. People need to get upset that we can spend money on better things like more roads and filling pot-holes and saving our children.
(why don't they just do it and not tell anyone?)

Bellwether will be a huge improvement over the existing stock there. I'm assuming there is no neighborhood opposition. The site says build out is 750 homes, does anyone know how many apartments/town homes were there before?

750...

There was opposition initially due to traffic, but it got approved and is quite a nice development. I actually worked for the developer go round 1.

They might want to update their website though.

Noticed that the shoring for the Dub Quarters hotel is quite far along and a very large hole. I hear they are hoping for their BP by March.

EDMONTON - It is financially impossible to keep all public schools in Edmonton open now that a moratorium on school closures has ended, although changes won’t be immediate, says a senior manager with the school district.

However, a new approach to tackle the costly problem of underpopulated schools in older neighbourhoods might make future school closures more palatable for parents, says Lorne Parker, managing director of planning, property management and student transportation for Edmonton Public Schools.

^It would have been nice if the Winspear incorporated that old building. But at least we didn't get that proposal

The lower section was where the old municipal court house was. It would have been nice to utilise the old police station in the Windspear.
