Yes they are. This is the area they wanted rezoned from
'residential family' to
'3-4 storey residential'. The bottom left Apartment building will have 27 units. The larger two in the top right will have 21, and the smaller buildings will have 15 units each. There are also three new apartment buildings off of Boars Head Road behind the Wesleyan Church that went up a year or two ago. The land to the west and south of Cambridge Avenue is owned by Barsa Ventures (Prestige Homes) (

I'm really interested to see how much land can be developed as this is a large area of the city that has yet to be utilized. Cambridge Estates, along with the new Baptist Church on Forbes Drive, is slowly eating away at all that empty land.
There was a bylaw forwarded to City Council last night to remove 12-14 Bentley Street from the Heritage Conservation Area. I will check with Planning and Development Thursday to see what's up.
As well, King Mazda is looking at expanding their parking lot along Rockwood Avenue, off of Rothesay Avenue. None of the residents seem very pleased about this at all.
