Has this been mentioned already? There is a Levi's store or some kind of clothing store now occupying the old Bank of Montreal building at Main and Prior. Sign of the quickly changing times in that area.

It's called the Denim Gallery Cafe and it's been there for at least a year now. Hard to tell though, their signage is not very obvious.

JJ Bean is opening a new location in the Marine Building. JJ usually has really nice stores, I am excited to see what they do with the space in one of the city's nicest buildings.

Saw a guy walk into the Five Guys space at Robson & Seymour (former Candy Aisle) - from peering in, the space is completely gutted now (shell space, bare floors and walls) - and it's big - goes deep. So given Five Guys sparse decor, hopefully it'll open soon.

I like Puma sneaks but I could never bring myself to buy anything in the Vancouver store - for some reason their shoes cost half as much in the U.S.

^And both those brands have lost their relevance...definitely holdovers from the late 90's/early 2000's. This will free up some prime location retail space on Granville.

The store/retail front is just a bonus as the Denim Gallery owners are the levi's distributors (rep? not sure what the title is) in the area. They were also one of the first to sell Herschel bags (which are blowing up right now).

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but West Elm's Market is opening up in the spot between Pottery Barn Kids and Williams Sonoma on Granville (signage is now up-not sure when it will be opening).

Market is their "general store" concept store-from the website, it looks like mostly kitchen/household goods.

The sushi (?) place on Robson across from the library - I think where the crepe place used to be - has finally removed the paper from the windows and appears to be open.

Libertine boutique on South Granville is closing. Saw the signage up in the window for their closing sale-my friend who works in the area said that the owner is moving out of the country.

Does anyone know why Rasoee Indian Kitchen on Robson closed? I never tired it and it always looked empty but I don't think it was open for more than a few weeks.

Weird, A Rasoee just opened across the street from Tinsletown. A pretty good sushi place opened right next to it.

I was thinking as such but I've never seen a chain go down so quick. No signs on the doors and all furniture etc still there.
