International PAX are typically slower during 'shoulder seasons', October and April.

I quite like the descriptions of the materials used in this article on the new Premium Lounge lounge in Domestic/International. While I was up there btw, the girls from Air Canada Aeroplan lounge were looking it over and moaning that the space was being saved for Air Canada expansion. The reality is Air Canada as not expanding so EIA found another...classier....occupant. I found the food and wines very good.

But this is a month to month comparison so it shows a net decrease.

Thing is....even if I had 10 million in my acct I wouldn't drop 30 for two hours of lounging pretty much anywhere lol. Each to their own I guess.

Correction...it was $35 and that was for 3 hours. Drunk emoticon?? hardly!.

You do realize your paying not just to lounge... all though lounging in the comfy chairs with plugins for your electronics and without screaming children everywhere is quite nice

tried the premium lounge for the first time while on a layover in Toronto this summer. Loved it. Between lattes, ryes, wines, cookies, beer, and cold pastas, the four of us definitely got our monies worth! I never realized the 35 was essentially all you can eat and drink...

That being said, I will probably never see Edmonton's because I don't I will ever have a layover here...and I will not go to the airport early just for this service...

Yeah like I said....

The new lounge is priced at C$30 plus tax for two hours' use! That being said...if its all you can eat and drink....well....welcome aboard lol.

You don't have to lay over here. When I travel Business I always try to use the lounge just for sanity. Plus on the international flights its really nice to have a space to do business while waiting.

So got to YEG early to get some business done, now sitting in the Belgium beer cafe. I have to say I am very impressed with this addition. The colour pallet. The use of different flooring material and the use of wood make this one of the nicest terminals I have visited in the last 10 years. And as I am sitting beside the living wall right now, I have to say it is more impressive that the photos I've seen.

My gut says that it is former WestJet investors trying to relive the good fortune and excitement of the early days at WestJet. I think that was a very different environment that today we have two healthy domestic National Carriers, unlike in '96. So my gut says it won't work.... by hope is that it does.

First Air's pilots who fly jets will soon work out of the company's Edmonton hangar. (CBC)First Air has confirmed it will close its jet pilot base in Yellowknife.

Some of the airline's pilots who fly the company's Boeing 737s out of Yellowknife, will soon work out of the company's Edmonton hangar. Others with seniority who want to stay in Yellowknife will be able to bump pilots from seats in other aircraft, such as the twin propeller ATRs.

Charter airline Enerjet looks to offer public flights
Calgary company says it is looking for investors to expand operations

Record traffic spikes cost of domestic holiday flights Calgary may soon see another airline enter the market — local charter company Enerjet is looking for investors for a possible expansion.

Enerjet currently has a fleet of three Boeing 737s. Most of their business is contracted by big oil companies to fly workers up north.

Over Thanksgiving, they offered public flights to Vancouver on JumpOnEnerjet, an eBay airfare store. The company also plans to sell seats over Christmas to Kelowna, B.C., and Edmonton — but there are signs it won't stop there

So what do my YEG'ers think of this Enerjet news? Can they make a go of it as a scheduled airline? Or should they just stick to growing the charter business?

And today we had a FedEX B777, coming in from, and heading back to, Koln.
Can the FedEx ramp hold B777's?

Also the 'Taj Mahal', RCAF CC-150 15001 was in.
