This is great to see!! I send fequent hate emails to google about this topic, they finally did something. It also shows 9th ave north with another road there to show its double lane both ways. Also has the eastend updated at prince of whales in dewdney, the consturctiob behind husky truckstop.As well as land that was fillied in both at the SIP park and the ross industrial park/ co-op refinary looks bigger.

Looks like anything North of Dewdney is updated. Old images show green summer pictures, where as the new one shows a brown city. Its too bad they weren't taken in summer again.

No, they were updating calgary, edmonton, saskatoon and winnipeg a lot more often. The mas update was only low resolution imagery, not that hard to do compared to highres.

Actually the stuff they updated is not even that good compared to some other stuff I have seen on google earth.

According to Colliers: Wellings Road Industrial Subdivision, RM of Sherwood. This area is a fast developing industrial subdivision, with over 100,000 SF of new industrial space over the last 12 years.

I also had no idea this existed.

I'm assuming they made it that far apart so that in the next millenium they can just easily build bridges in between the roads without diverting the traffic.

Just out of curosity, would the city ever be able to aquire those industrial lands in the north, that lie in the rm of sherwood, when looking to expand in that diretion. Cant see it happeneing for a long time, but is that possible?

Absolutely. the City has the right to annex land. It has to pay the RM compensation for lost tax revenue and it has to service the area - sewer, water, fire, police, etc. The last part is usually the biggest issue.

Google has updated (introduced) the close elevation 45 degree flyover views for the entire city (not the global transport hub). The views appear to be late august/early september. The higher elevation maps still aren't updated for south regina yet.

Yeah, that looks like late August.

I see Massey Pool has been drained, which happened on Aug 20th. It's definitely not Septemeber though because I zoomed in on my old house and our outdoor furniture can be seen, and we moved out of there on Sept 1st.

Best guess is August 25th maybe? Early in the morning, due to the shadows from the east and the lack of cars in at work, meaning it was probably a weekend day.

I noticed that this morning. They have completely gutted it. Lets hope that some of it goes back to retail or restaurant. At one time that space was a car dealership/showroom!
