The Rockies are very tall mountains....but the plains of Alberta are also very high. Calgary is at around 1100 m above sea level already....so you should really count the height of the rockies as x m above their base (subtract 1100 from the height of those mountains). That would be the maximum potential height you could climb/ski/sight see from etc.
Even if you subtract the 1000m most mountains in the rockies are 2-3 times higher than anything in eastern canada

Just wow..

I love how constantly the Toronto skyline changes, years ago the CN was sort of out on it's own in most photos now it's being swallowed by buildings in every direction, very impressive

The lighting in that shot is so soothing.

That's one of the best Toronto shots I've seen. Skyline is really expanding, particularly to the west.

Here's another fresh angle. It's not exactly a skyline shot, so I hope people don't mind me posting it. In the distance you can see Avenue Road and Upper Canada College. It would have been nice if University Avenue continued as a wide grand avenue all the way up to that school.

I wouldnt call it "numerous" threads.....

This is a separate thread altogether and a national category. People repost photos all the time in areas where the masses go. I put them in their appropriate places so people can enjoy them.

Just like the photos of the airport in the Calgary Airport thread. There hasnt been an aerial photo in that thread for quite a while, and some of those people dont even come into the main thread.

I also posted a huge photo update on Tuesday of the projects under construction in Calgary but i missed a few so I re-posted the few I missed to complete the update.

Im taking time out of my day to put photos where they are missing.

And thank you for doing it. One of the things I've come to love about Calgary is how it's constantly changing. I can count about 20 buildings in that aerial (that are clearly visible) that weren't there when I moved here just over 4 years ago.
