Yeah, I agree. I'm a little tired of the "well, it's better than nothing!" attitude. I'd rather a vacant lot in a prime and highly visible location like this continue to sit vacant for a few more years rather than have a PoS that completely wastes the potential of the site sit there for 30, 50, 100 or more years.

^well that parking lot has been there for generations already so I say good riddance - even if I don't like the design of the building - at least the main floor retail will breath some life into that side of the street.

Ideally they would just construct the podium for the time being until they found an acceptable workaround for that monstrocity they designed.

I agree. The podium fills up the block with what is needed at street level there.

I am pretty sure the designers could have made a decent-looking building on top of it without the out-of-place curve, and without it costing any more.

Like a straight edge that follows the same angle? They can't build too tall over the LRT Tunnel, remember that.

There is at least a dozen modifications that could be done to that building to make it look like it was indeed built in the year 2012 and not 1987.

Suzuka is on my list. I just looked at Google Maps and it appears that there is a train station near the circuit. Is that how you got there? Is there a better way?

I saw the Chinese GP this year - first GP since Montreal numerous years ago.
Believe it or not, it is almost cheaper to go to the Chinese GP than it is to go to the one in Austin which is ridiculously priced this year.
