This should help estimate the height:

http://www.blogto.com/arts/2012/10/gehry_and_mirvish_project_officially_unveiled_in_toronto/

From the above drawings, I'd guess less than 300 metres, but all this is subject to change, of course. Regardless, I think the towers look fantastic.

Wow...
Didn't know what to make of this based off the renders. But after seeing the actual building models, they'll be iconic. Unfortunately seems they will fall short of supertall status, being only 80% taller than Festival tower(needs to be almost twice it's height) which is just over 500ft tall(514ft).

Does this remind anybody of the One City transit announcement/fiasco? Cal, you were all excited about that too were you not?

September RE numbers coming out any day now... ooooooohhh... wonder what they will say...

To me it seems very much influenced by 8 Spruce Street (Beekman Tower), except using boxes (because it's Toronto):

i think the outer two towers are just prototypes in this model. they made many many standalone models to show off at the AGO today, showing their design process/ideas (i think).

the main renders we've seen show a more boxy design for the tower on the right

These guys got out in front of the curve by explaining their concept at the same time submitting their application to the city. God forbid a NIMBY got wind of this development without the artistic reasoning as to why this is good city building. I can see it now, OMG! Three 85 storey towers on King Street!!

Yup. Definitely.

I was all NIMBY and nostalgic over King St. when I first heard the news. More F'in condos?

Now after seeing the models...F'in Eh!...Lets bring it on! This is a totally different level then anything in North America today.

But following the RE market as I do, Im a little apprehensive...

I love the middle tower, just love it, but I don't like the two side towers, maybe they will grow on me. I would like it more if they took 20 meters off the two side towers and put that 40 meters on top of the middle tower.

I like this proposal a lot, but I believe it is too late.

The market in TO is not deep enough for such a huge building.

I took the photo of the render above, this is what it said at the top:

Tower 1 - 82 story 271.5m / 890.7ft
Tower 2 - 86 story 284.0m / 931.8ft
Tower 3 - 84 story 278.1m / 912.4ft

All three buildings will have mechanical penthouses at the top, which are not included in the height.

Thanks for clearing out all the speculation.

Ah, there's the catch. Get the 80-storey version of Exhibit Residences approved first on the promise of 2 "iconic" gehry ones to be phased in later... a slightly more transparent version of that old trick by Vancouver developers who promise schools and rental housing to come AFTER they secure the extra density for market condos

For comparison, does the 298m of FCP include the mechanical penthouse?
