It looks like they're keeping the existing building as the bottom half of the proposal, is that correct?

That stupid Point Zero crown needs to go, and already the project is 50% better.

It's ridiculous. I don't see how they can build that.

Why is the old tower taller in the pic? Are they planning on cutting a few floors off?

The only explanation is that they're planning to make the top part using a super light-weight, hard drying form of meringue.

Le Victoire on Square Victoria. This one is on the fast track. Construction starts in november. Only 56 units, one of them being the two-storey top penthouse, with a private pool on the roof, already sold. The historic building will be carefully restored.

Not horrible, but the protruding balconies on the sides and the curved ones near the top are not terribly attractive. Also I hope there is no blank wall facing Old Montreal.

I hope the arena deal goes through so this (& many others) get built.

Great building! The tower itself looks good but I'm really digging that podium.

Gorgeous. Coquitlam is already more dense than Surrey, a city 4x the size.

Station Square - Burnaby

So Station Square Tower 1 is set to be complete and occupied by 2015, that means that construction should/will be starting early 2013. The first tower will be 35 storeys and around 110 meters tall, that and a retail redevelopment are phase one. Phase two will be the signature "Tower 3" at 57 storeys and around 163 meters tall, along with another 110 meter 35 storey tower in the same phase.

It says full service grocery store - so my guess is that Save-on-Foods will be downsizing onto the new site.
Does this diagram show a roadway connection between Kingsborough Street and Station Street
(i.e. lanes on either side of the Metropolis parking ramp access), or is it just a roundabout off Station Street
for access to a condo tower?

An office and residential building planned in Victoria. The office faces the street and the residential faces the water.
