The Calgary Tower one is similar to the Willis tower one, and with a few adjustments and it could be close....course you'd never get that height

Maybe that is something that could re-transform the Calgary Tower you could look up at the towers and down at the street?

Of course not, but few buildings can.

Calgary tower would be cool if it had a nice skyline to look at.

Calgary has deservedly stolen the show lately. I like the powerful corporate vibe it gives off. The highrise condos will probably creep into the skyline over the coming decades and dilute the effect but right now it is like Toronto of the 90s.

The condos going up here (Calgary) are really high quality compared to most across the country. I don't think we have much to worry about. Even the worst of them, while plain blue, are still high quality (see Keynote complex).

Nuera:

It's twin is now under construction:

Arriva 42

two more towers planned (both with a much sleeker design):

Keynote Office and Residential:

Taller tower currently under construction:

Five West:

The Guardian:

Six and Ten:

Astoria on Tenth:

Kings on Fourth:

I doubt more residential buildings will diminish the office core simply because space constraints will continue to force office towers to both build higher and use large floor plates than residential buildings. Most of the condos are being built just outside downtown proper where land availability is no where near as constrained. Downtown proper is only about 1 square mile.

That building in the lower-left was actually damaged slightly by that hit. Just some brick work from what I could tell, which fell to the sidewalk and road.
