Thanks Ramako and others! Exactly what I was looking for, hope to be in TO for a few days at the end of October.

It's only like 16 bucks to go up!

Seems pricey, but then again that seems to be going rate for tourist stuff. Having just been to NYC and SanFran, 16 bucks isn't all that bad.

The CN tower is like 27 bucks just to go up to the main pod... and Calgary's glass floor is like ten times better.

CN Tower went downhill when they lost the paddle boats..

j/k I think the tower is in it's prime with the L.E.D. lighting.

I can't speak for Calgary tower though, I've never been out west, the costs of travelling in Canada I find prohibitively expensive.

You've got that right man, it's crazy here.

But yeah, the CN Tower obviously has tons more attractions in the facility, but the Calgary Tower is pretty cool too and the glass floor is the best in the country if not the continent, having been on the CN tower glass almost a dozen times and only once on Calgary Tower's (only moved here a couple months ago).

The CN tower definitely LOOKS a lot nicer too. I half wish the city would just demolish the Calgary tower and build a new one that doesn't look like a fucking bucket of KFC.

My guess for best glass floor on the continent would be the new glass viewing boxes on the Willis tower or the Grand Canyon Skywalk?

The Glass at the CN Tower is half-assed. It's not even scary because it's so damn thick.

Yes the Calgary Tower glass part looks way better. The CN Tower one is bush league. It was cool when I went up but I kinda did a . The Empire State building hit me more because I was outside bad had the wind swirling at me.

Now if either of the two towers construct something like this....

Maybe that is something that could re-transform the Calgary Tower you could look up at the towers and down at the street?

If you like wind, the CN Tower's Skywalk let's you hang out over the edge of the tower from the outside of the observational section, but it's expensive.

That's exactly what the Calgary tower glass floor is already like. It's directly up against the vertical windows and creates the same effect that the Sears Tower ones do.

Calgary is really in a class by itself when it comes to modern skyline in this country. Really impressive.
