Please join the University of Alberta to learn more about the future development of the East Campus Village Housing Project and view preliminary designs.

Floor plans have an ok mix, but I think they might be a tad big overall still... the 750-800 sqft 2bdrm 2bath is where the money is IMO.

I still find it odd where BK puts their closets, WDs and storage. They simply do not work very well and end up being annoying.

Cannot believe that some of the larger units have smaller masters than 2nd bdrms.... and 1 sink with what appears to be very little counter/storage space in 1100sqft and up units? Really?

Unit 'I' is money for me.

I do love the idea of 2 storey penthouses and the balconies are great for the most part.

Dine/living areas is the majority of units are done well.

Makes me wonder if they even use an interior designer to review the layout of each suite.

^Hey, I've worked with Fraser on some projects in the past and while BKA may not be the most creative design firm, Fraser certainly knows how to get things done.

That he does, but their innovation and evolution is what I find confusing.

So it looks like only the south elevation then is Windowless, with the shaped side?

EDIT: Looks like only the north tower has a blank south wall, which faces the south tower anyways. For privacy??

Those penthouses are hurting - two bathrooms. Add a powder room on the 1st level and a separate bath on the ensuite.

With two units per floor I bet you could do direct entry into each suite too from the elevators.

Am I the only one that doesn't see how that name could end up biting itself in the butt?

Or are they Homer Simpson trying to see if the name Bart might end up being twisted to something derogatory: "Bart? Let's see... Bart, Cart, Dart, Eart... nope! Sounds good to me!"

Seriously... somebody has got to tune this developer up, and yes those floorplans are highly questionable.

North wall of tower 2 and south of tower 1 will have angled blank walls which 'have been designed to maximize views and privacy'.

^I wish they would have went with a patterned window placement along the south and north elevations bet'n the towers. It would have looked better than the angled wall idea imo.

I don't understand all the hate for the fox towers. The development would be a great addition in my opinion. Yah it's not Vancouver style all glass and could be more modern but it's not something you'd see built over 10 years ago either. And it will blend very well with what is already on 104 street; I'd definitely rather see this than a "Pearl" on that block. There is a lot of glass in my opinion and what they did on the south elevation, angled walls to avoid window to window views between each tower, also will slightly hide the blank walls from street level in my opinion. They wanted two towers while avoiding the Icon 2 catastrophe and I think it's a pretty good fix.

Hell no, I would much rather see a tower like Pearl at this location. This area needs more glass towers IMO.

Out of curiosity, does any orginal part of the Royal Alex Hospital exist, or was it all demolished? Edmonton lost some gems: Marshall-Wells, Tegler, King Edward Hotel, Empire Block, Arlington Apts, Post Office, Edmonton Journal Building...
