The Source posted this yesterday.

ULI report presents a strategy for developing a Union Station District

by Gayle Anderson

The report is an interesting read if you feel so inclined. Definitely a lot of underutilized space around that area ripe for development.

Sounds great but its would take bilions to make this project works. There are several things that would have to happen. First of all the 101 would have to be caped to the south as well as the onramp which seperates Union Station to El Pueblo. If the LA River is restored the traintracks and County Jail seperate is from Union Station so the Jail would have to be removed and tracks put underground. I think this would make a good long term goal but its not going to happen in the next 20 years.
