So now on top of the $351 million in tax dollars spent to build this thing another $70 million loan (which will never be repaid) is going into the abyss called the CMHR. That is now $421 million for those of you who like numbers and for those who still think spending a sum this large on something the public has no appetite for and could have been more wisely spent elsewhere in the city.


Two questions for Gail and the other CMHR proponents, when Gail said the CMHR would never come back to any level of govt. for more funds was she holding her fingers crossed behind her back and secondly, how much in private donations were really raised and that answer would be NOT VERY MUCH, this damn thing was built on lies that funding was in place!

it is suppose to look like that, you have to read what each part is ment to represent, then it makes sense, plus the spire is far far from done, and the Glass on the rest, even though glazed is dirty as heck if you seen it close up. Wait to the fall and then we will see what she looks like.

Basalt covered walkway, very nice stone


One Drew might appreciate, that reinforced concrete beam is about 8 ft across, absolutely massive


angles everywhere


some images of the alabaster clad and back-lit walkways. The pictures don't do justice how beautiful these looked and will look against the black concrete walls






some of the interior cloud space, the volume is immense. Again pictures do not do this justice

some of the mind blowing scaffolding. It truly was amazing, an engineering feat itself

It is really hard to convey through pictures how amazing the interior space of this building is. I can't wait to experience it when all of the scaffolding has been removed and it is cleaned up. For all that don't like the building for what it stands for, it's cost, it's content or exterior appearance i suggest you try to reserve some judgement until you get to walk through the building.


...........sorry about some of the sizes of the pictures. I am not sure why some did not re-size properly. This was my second go round for posting them and i don't feel i have it in me to try again.

I do appreciate an over-designed concrete beam!

What really caught my attention in that same photo is the steel beam that appears to be bent out of plane in two directions. Impressive stuff.

I re-sized them all in photobucket but some just didn't like being smaller i guess. I was in the process of posting all of then yesterday and everything looked good when our system here took a dump. My re-post today didn't seem to work right for me. Now i have a new respect for people who post a lot of pictures.

Anyone notice that the tower has glasses almost finished, I didn't notice that it has three different shades of glass. Three levels of tower, three different shades of glass. Not sure about that...
