The one on top of the Cityview Centre (Albert & 15th) bugs me the most. It's a huge flag pole, very visible from Albert and Wascana Park, and I don't think I've ever seen a flag on it in my lifetime.

The Swiss Consulate was located in that building, so that's the flag I would always see flying there. But haven't seen it in several weeks. Maybe it was closed?

And I'm sure the Viterra signs will come down... just have to see if "Glencore" goes up. The Viterra sign on the ground outside the building on Vic is already gone.
I would be surprised if Glencore did not keep the Viterra name. They have taken over many companies and have kept the names.

Swedish, wasn't it?

Either way, I love flags on top of buildings. Contrast Regina with Saskatoon, where nearly every building downtown is flying a Canadian flag.

A friend of mine was up in the air today and took an aerial photo of downtown Regina. Thought I would share it.

Oh man those are some nice pics. My personal fav is number 4. And you'll have to take an update photo of number 5 in about a years time when the second FCC tower goes up, that view will be completely altered! Looking forward to that crane and building going up in the not too distant future!

Great shots of the tower and skyline!!! Should post some of those pics in the canada thread for skylines with pop under 500k or something. Regina's beautiful skyline does not get noticed enough among other canadians i think

I concur. Pics #1, 5, 6 ought to be on the 500k and Under thread.

Breaking News

They've put up the missing 'C' on the south side Mosiac logo!! Now they just need to add the color wiggly things underneath Mosiac, crazy progress, haha!!

Mosaic sign now illuminated

One more sign that Tower III is getting closer to completion: the Mosaic sign on top of the south side is illuminated tonight for the first time. (I assume the north side sign is illuminated now as well as it went up first).

The original plan was to have a plaza in front with a high end surface. It looks like it will just be some colored concrete. At least I noticed they built soil cells for the trees (which is now mandated by the city I believe). The also have nice decorative grates for the trees. Hopefully Harvard won't kill the trees like they have in front of all of their other buildings.

Getting closer

I noticed today that all the protective boarding along the street is gone and replaced with a regular fence. You can start to get a good idea of what the inside mezzanine looks like as well, looks pretty swank. I wonder if there will be any retail at street level and I also thought a small art gallery was going on the main floor. Maybe the Green spot will move there as I think the building they are in is slated for demolition to make way for the agriculture place tower going up next year. I will try to snap some shots of the mezzanine next week..

Most of the blue fencing is now gone except a couple select spots. The 2nd southbound lane on Hamilton has reopened as a result.

Cwb

Canadian Western Bank opened today. They are at the north end of the main floor, and also have the mezzanine space.
