i will say this, Panama has more impact. that is about it. Toronto is bigger and better but it doesn't have that in your face impact like Panama. because of the way Toronto has built northward instead of east west along the lake it is hard to see all of its skyscraper glory. i think for a short time being Panama has more towers built over 200 meters as well. that wont last long judging by the proposals flowing into Toronto. for the time being i think panama has it beat for overall skyline impact but i suspect that to change soon.

Toronto - 33 towers over 200 meters (built/u-c/proposed)

Panama's tallest - 284 meters (proposed Trump Tower)
Toronto's tallest - 298 meters (built FCP)

Panama - 270 highrises built/u/c/proposed
Toronto - 2200 Highrises built/u/c/proposed

Including CN Tower Toronto has 5 towers over 260 meters on the skyline, Panama cant touch Toronto.

Not taking sides here, but I believe that Panama City's 350+ meter Torre Finaciera is u/c or about to begin.

I would never say a skyline is better than another one just by comparing height or the number of highrises.

Don't we have a world city skyline thread? Toronto's great, but there are some more cutting edge (or outrageous) skyscrapers and skylines out there.

There was a time when Toronto was a number 3 or 4 skyline. Maybe back in the mid-70's when no one cared about skylines. Toronto is probably a top 15 skyline now, a lot of world rankings still squeeze us in the top 10, but thats gonna shift as we lose ground on height very quickly.

And thats even with us leading with highrises and skyscrapers under-construction in North America now.

Perhaps it's the lack of height variation. Edmonton has far more interesting topography, better buildings, and more of them. They also have the Alberta Legislature. North York has nothing nice like that.
