Like I said though, nothing has been finalized but it is definitely moving from what I've heard. I don't live/have never been there though so you should prolly check out the forums and maybe ask questions.

Yay, I was talking about the tower way back there. Sorry for the confusion
One Park Tower is nowhere near close to being as great a building as Wells Fargo. One of my favs from Minneapolis.

I wish Canada could do something like this:

Maybe fly the Avro Arrow over First Canadian Place?

Will be even sicker once the Bell Centre towers and the recent proposals on Rene-Levesque go up!

Any indication if construction is starting soon on the Bell Centre tower?

Nope! None at all. At a time when dozens of developers are building dozens of highrises in and around downtown, Cadillac fairview remains virtually absent aside from that mall they're expanding out in some fringe neighbourhood.

Problem is nobody in this country would notice, or care. I'm sure the Toronto media would be all over it though, complete with some sponsorship by some Danfort ethnic festival or what have you.

It will be going into sales late summer.

Construction date will rely on how well sales go but it is assumed it will be late 2012 start.

Thanks for the update.

But, talk about being late at the party. In the last three weeks, more than 1000 units have been put on sales from numerous projects just a stone away from the Bell Center. CF just missed the boat, unless they propose something that will leave the competition in the dust. Reducing the height of the project from 62 to 40 won't help distinguished it from its competitors. Really a big disappointment.

If the boat is only 1,000 units then I don't think any developer would be too concerned about missing the boat.

There are far more than 1,000 sales achievable in the area and I think once the public sees the final buildout of the CF lands near the stadium these units will move quite quickly.

Well good news then. I really hope it turns out like that.

But you know, the Montreal boat is indeed limited. This is not Toronto.
